Plenary
Plenary sessions are the most important part of the parliamentary work, where the preparatory work in committees, working groups and parliamentary groups is completed. The MEPs during plenaries have also the possibility to debate with the representatives of other EU bodies. The sessions are held mainly in Strasbourg, but some of them take place in Brussels.
Below you can find the annual work plan of the EP (click on the image to open the PDF file):
The plenary sessions are marked with red (twelve 4-day sessions in Strasbourg and six 1-day sessions in Brussels). If you are more concretely interested in the work during plenaries, on the appropriate site of the EP you can find the actual agenda, always a few days before the session.
Before the plenary sitting, the EP Press Service also publishes a newsletter with a brief summary of the themes covered.
